Have your say on hospital
 |
| Altrincham General Hospital. |
HEALTH campaigner Pat Morris is holding a public meeting to discuss the future of Altrincham General Hospital (AGH) on Saturday.
She wants to give everyone a chance to air their views about plans for the 138-year-old hospital.
Health chiefs have unveiled proposals to sell two-thirds of the site for development, plus nearby St Anne's Hospital.
The funds raised would be used to cover the cost of developing the remaining third of the hospital.
Pat has invited health chiefs and leading councillors to attend and is distributing 1,000 leaflets to advertise the meeting.
She said: "People have not been given the opportunity to say whether they agree with the plans for AGH put forward, with what appears to be endorsement from all political parties in Trafford.
"I expect NHS managers and leaders of our three political parties in Trafford to accept my invitation to share the public platform and justify the course of action they have planned for AGH."
Everyone is welcome to the meeting which will get underway at 2.30pm on Saturday, May 10 at Altrincham Leisure Centre."
